At Levi Fry Intermediate Stingaree Band, we believe that percussion is not just about the drums - it's about exploring and creating rhythm with all types of instruments. Our program is designed to encourage students to learn and master a variety of percussion instruments, including mallet-based ones such as the marimba and the xylophone. We believe that the art of percussion is not only a powerful form of musical expression, but also a way for students to build confidence, discipline, and teamwork skills.

Did you know that percussion instruments have been around for thousands of years? From the earliest forms of drumming to the modern techniques used in orchestration, the history of percussion is both rich and fascinating. Today, many world-renowned musicians are percussionists, including Sheila E., Neil Peart, and Questlove. At Levi Fry Intermediate Stingaree Band, we strive to inspire our students to become the percussionists of tomorrow and to develop a deep appreciation for the instrument's history and culture.
